I know we've seen much Older Drives. However it's been a while since I've seen one that is close to 15 years old and still works fine. This drive was taken out of a friends college PC that has been in a closet for 15 years after they graduated college. Been inactive for 15 years.

Its a Bigfoot Quantum CY 5.25 2.1 GB.

Enjoy the trip down memory lane.

I do. And I don't even have a PS/2 mouse or keyboard for this ancient computer it came out off. Luckily my neighbor inherited my last set and I'll just borrow it tomorrow.

Going to be fun getting the data off a Windows 95 machine. USB 1.1 all the way. Maybe I'll get lucky and it will be Win 98 and have better USB support.

That drive is going to get a few holes drilled into it with my Drill Press. I'm not going to bother wiping it out. Swiss Cheese it and pitch it.

Here are some drives that are even older.... I put a laptop drive in a few of the pictures for scale.... Not sure of any of the specs besides they are IDE.
