It depends on how you are watching it on your PC. Watching the DVD? Fine. Copying the DVD's contents? Not fine at all, you're instantly a thief according to the MPAA.

Listen, if you break the copy protection of any DVD, CD or Blu-Ray your breaking the DMCA, period.

Is is stupid? Hell yes. But, the law is the law.

The point is, dont break the encryption.... Let someone else do it and just benefit from their illegal work!

Just kidding. I was under the impression that if you owned the physical media, you were allowed to make one personal backup of your media for PERSONAL use only. I guess I was mistaken.

The law is the Law because people are too lazy to do anything about it. The MPAA is making more off DMCA than they are in movies.

Just like downloading isn't illegal. People say it is. Well in court they don't go after the people downloading. They go after the people sharing the downloaded content. The reason is anytime you go to a website you download the content to your pc. That is copyright infringement right there. People will say it isn't. But a animated .gif file is a animation(movie) so you are copying and downloading someone else's intellectual property. This is just a big grey area that i don't see being fixed anytime soon.
