I am going to sticky this post and edit it with everyones additions. We need to create a list of every game with lan support. BUT if you post up a game we need to know if it has the following

-Dedicated Servers or do you create the LAN game in game?
-Does the game require internet or not (for example can it be run in offline mode, or does it require that you are connected to the internet)
-Last, I need to know what kind of game it is (FPS, RTS, Racing, ect)

FPS
- TF2 (no internet, dedicated servers)
- Call of Duty 4 (no internet, dedicated servers)
- Crysis Wars (no internet, dedicated servers)
- Killing Floor (no internet, dedicated servers)
- Shattered Horizon (no internet, dedicated servers)
- Homefront (dedicated servers, some internet)
- Brink (dedicated servers, some internet)
- Battlefield 2 (no internet, dedicated servers)
- CS:S (no internet, dedicated servers)
- Unreal Tournament 3 (No internet, Dedicated Servers)
- Monday Night Combat (dedicated servers, some internet)
- Half-life Deathmatch (dedicated server, no internet)
- Half-life 2 Deathmatch (dedicated server, no internet)
- Counter Strike 1.6 (dedicated server, no internet)
- Team Fortress Classic (dedicated server, no internet)
- UT99 (dedicated server, no internet)
- Quake 3 Arena (LAN) [not sure about server]
- Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. (LAN) [not sure about server]

I will get my laptop out and trying setting one up. it is apart of the HLDS system so I think it should be able to do lan only.. I will let you know.

Ok, I got it working on my laptop, I can see it (Monday Night Combat) on the LAN server list in steam, so I would say yes on the LAN server.

I will bring it with me to the mini-LAN and we can try it out.

well that is a waste of having HLDS do the servers. :(

I wonder how much internet traffic that would generate if it was only hosted on the LAN.

I tried server in offline mode. if you use the server list from steam it will let you join the lan game. but if you start the game up first, it will not work.

I am having one issue, after about 2 minutes of game play, my game action freezes, but everything else still works, all the menus and stuff, but I can't move and my last action is froze. I will work on it. Going to try in online mode and make sure it doesn't freeze too, if it doesn't then that might be an issue.

the freeze issue was because of offline mode. so I would say mostly LAN for Monday Night Combat.

Fear 3 is only four play coop modes i thought no competitive play. As far as games these are the ones i would love to play all besides the ones already mentioned, which support lan:

soldier of fortune 2
quake 2
battlefield 1942 desert combat mod
company of heroes
definitly homefront, cod 4, cod 2

I know its been a while but does anyone have anything to ad to this list? What about games that have come out recently

MW3 for example. I know there is LAN support, because it uses steam im guessing it requires some internet but has dedicated servers right?

dedis yes. LAN yes. But I hear LAN is broke. It's not like COD4 where you can have your classes and unlocks. You start out with nothing... Someone find this out. Wingless for example... get on it.

From what I know you have to set everything up. Unlocks and that are done by the admin. The only real way would be to try it on a couple of PC's. I can't since I don't have 2 Steam accounts.

Renegade would know only because they had a MW3 tourney at Nexus.
