Wish I had seen this earlier.... Sony sold off their Vaio PC line to focus on mobile...

I had a customer with a Vaio laptop less than a year old that the keyboard quit working. He sent it back to Sony under warranty, and they told him they dont have parts for it, so they are sending him a refund check.

Good luck!

I would look at something that has at least a 760, 780, 880 in it. As it is alot of the times the video card can not be changed out, or its WAY WAY expensive to do it.

Better to get the highest video card you can to start so the unit last longer with out video issues in gaming.

Check into Lenovo, MSI, ASUS, Samsung they all make some nice gaming units at great prices.

My biggest regret is that I have almost zero experience with Windows 8.
Going to be a fun learning curve

Its not really that difficult... Most people who complain about it are too stubborn to learn anything new. Pin what you use most to your taskbar, and remember, hotcorners are your friend... (upper and lower right)

I agree, no issues with it on my laptop, but on my PC i installed classic shell to give me a start menu, without the touch screen to swipe, I found it a little harder to navigate
