I personally hope this causes them and other Carriers to increase base speeds for the average consumer. Like they did in the past year. Any internet speed increase is great! I know some lucky people have Google's Fiber and Att&t's gigabyte connection already.

It's probably heavily bandwidth capped, so I'm uninterested. It's like having a sportscar that you can only drive around the block three times a month.

From a streamers' stand point the download speeds are a moot talking point. Anything over 30 will do. The big issue are the bandwidth and upload caps.

They would if comcast with full gig service was a direct competitor but in most cases these companies don't have any direct competition and when they do its DSL vs fiber or cable
