Oculus Rift?

What are some peoples feelings hopes / fears or options of the oculus Rift?

Does anyone have a per-order in for a dev kit? did anyone get in on the Kick starter?
Has anyone gotten first hand experience with one of the demo units that OculusVr has had at trade shows over the last yearish?

Heard about the kickstarter last year. Sounded pretty intriguing. Just watched that Jimmy Fallon clip ( linkylink ) and I have to say, I'm rather impressed. I guess I am more interested to see what creative developers can do with it more than anything.

I was hoping that Wes or someone would have seen these and give some first hand feedback. Starting to think I may have wasted 300 bones now.

3 months 3 weeks to late but any how, The Oculus Rift looks pretty amazing, and I hope modders find a way to make it work with some of my favorite titles. I'm thing anything open worldish in particular First person RPGs like The Elder Scrolls or Fallout! I also think that a Rift pared with my the surround sound of my G930 headset could make survival horror a whole new beast. That could be crazy creepy! Some of my concerns consist of: I've seen videos of people looking down as they play that would get uncomfortable and does the Oculus Rift not show you the accrual angle your looking? Is the motion sickens concerns a real issue for the majority of gamers or only a select few. I would not be interested if it only works on a couple of game. So in conclusion I think the Rift shows some real promise.
