Ouch, only one game on the list I'd want to play, TF2 It's also going to be hard to convince the old lady that I need to go to another lan so soon after LanOC.

Like the post says, open to other suggestions as well. what would you like to play?

I will be posting a seating chart of sort this weekend sometime so we can get everyone seated, and can get a feel for the layout of the venue/my house.

If I have to choose a different Battlefield than Bad Company 2, I choose Battlefield 2. I played the heck out of it back in the day. 1942 just is too old. CoD4 is good too. Both those games have dedicated servers and can be installed on multiple computers for LAN play.

I understand that there are some that really love RoN. I'm just not one of them. I don't mind playing C&C3, but it's not on my wish list. My favorite stratagy games are Starcraft 2, Company of Heroes, and Sins of a Solar Empire. Though I don't expect anyone to want to play that last one. I'm also all in on League of Legend or Demigod.

CoD4 is good. I think i still have that one, and I know i still have BF2.

We could try CoH. I found my copy after looking at the other thread about CoH Online.

Anyone ever play Frontlines: Fuel of War?

Looks like I may have to update my gameplay list to reflect these newer games.

I have the ISO of Frontlines. I always wanted to play it at a LAN, but it's a hard one to sell when everyone wants to play the popluar FPS's

Frontlines is GREAT at a lan. the remote robots are alot of fun to use. you can sneak them up on another person while they are using their bots, and detonate them on their heads!

We can keep that one in mind. Maybe if we play it, we could get a few others to join in.

You've tried and it doesn't work, even with the settings on low? Starcraft is mostly CPU bound, what do you have there?

Secured the tables and chairs today!
As soon as I get the seating diagram drawn up, we can start choosing our seats.
Anyone else planning on coming yet?

I want to make it, but I took off for both the weekend of our lan and the saturday after. I won't be able to take off another so soon after. :(

Next time let me know, we could help with tables and switches

Yea, you have to schedule it in advance enough for people to make plans. I assume you've done this before and have the power mapped out so we don't blow a circuit?

Hrm.... didnt know if I needed to give more than 4 weeks notice for a 9 hr lan. And yes, I have done this before. The largest Ive personally hosted was about 10. Ive been doing lans since '99. I havent had one in my current house, but then again, Ive only lived here for about 2 months. This house is wired for computer equipment. Im not worried about that. But yes. I have tested the circuits.

I just installed Frontlines and it's not something you'd want people to be installing the day of a LAN. There's like 4 patches that take forever to install. You'd be setting around for an hour just to play 1 game.

I hate to double post, but just wanted to let people who are attending the LAN know that the games list has been updated.

If you are planning on attending and do not have these games, please let me know. I am setting up access to my home server for the sake of getting the required games/updates out to the people who may need them.

As Nacelle had mentioned earlier, Frontlines has 4 patches that do take forever to install, so I will have thoes patches available for remote access to save you time of trying to find them yourselves.

Again, there is still time to suggest any other games, but Im pretty certain on CoH, FFOW, and TF2.
