Thermaltake SpinQ @ Overclockers Online
Thermaltake was pushing the boundaries of innovation when they
created the SpinQ, focusing on achieving the unique look rather than
performance. The performance isn’t but for its price, there are competitors
who can do much better. Nonetheless, the SpinQ is one of the most visually
entrancing coolers I’ve seen, making it the perfect upgrade for someone who
doesn’t care about the big OC numbers, but someone interested in modifying
their computer’s appearance to make coworkers point and stare.
Thermaltake V9 Black Edition @ Overclockers Online
I’ll admit I’m a junky for full tower cases as I love all the room they
have to offer. With that being said I was quite pleased overall with the mid
tower V9 Black Edition. I never felt cramped or had to contort my hands while
assembling the PC. The twin 230mm fans do a great job of keeping things cool and
the front 120mm also sports a red LED. The black powder coating really sets off
the interior and makes for a very attractive package.
CES 2009 – Thermaltake
I didn’t schedule a meeting with our friends over at the Thermaltake booth this year, but that doesn’t mean that I didn’t find time to stop by and check out their booth. Thermaltake must have a whole crew of product designers hidden in their factorys because as always they have a slew of new and upcoming products.
Thermaltake won an innovations award for their Speedo Chassis. I was also impressed with the look of the new Element Series Chassis. Thermaltake was showing off their new Xpressar refrigerated case. In their cooling line you will spot countless new heatsinks based on a new silent fan design, along with a collection of different additions to their water cooling line. Of course you also cant forget their new EVO Blue Gaming power PSU.
Thermaltake Big Water 760i
For most people the thought of running water through a box full of electronics sounds crazy. If you can get over that, it’s most likely intimidating enough that you may never consider the option. Thermaltake designed a few water-cooling kits that are designed to be easy to install and good performing. One of those kits is their Big Water 760i kit. Thermaltake sent us one of the 760i’s for us to compare it to all of the heatsinks we have tested up until now, and to find out if they succeeded at making an easy to use Water Cooling kit to get you started with H2O.
Thermaltake M9 VI1000 Case
Thermaltake is known for making a variety of quality parts. We have tested more than a few examples ourselves even. Today we will be taking a closer look at their M9 VI1000 mid tower case. We will find out if it is a good improvement over that beige case, and if it is going to keep everything cool and quite. If our past experiences with Thermaltake are anything to go by, I expect this to be a quality case with some interesting styling. But we aren’t here to guess, keep reading to find out how it really performed.
Thermaltake Vi-ON
As I’ve said many times before, everyone and there mom makes a hard drive enclosure. With a few exceptions they are mostly of the same boxy design. Thermaltake has come out with a design that they hope is going to break the monotony. They focused on making something that you don’t have to hide away on your desk. With that they focused on reducing vibration and heat to keep you from having to listen to your hard disk spin up, and to make sure that same hard drive has a long life. So Thermaltake sent us one of these new VI-ON hard drive enclosures and we are going to take a closer look at it.
Thermaltake DuOrb CPU Heatsink
One look at the Thermaltake website and you will be overwhelmed by the amount of products they produce. A good example is in the CPU heatsink section; just for the 775 Socket alone they carry 17! Thermaltake spends a lot of time researching and producing new and innovative products on regular bases. They have been producing heatsinks for various items using an orb design for some time now. Recently they have produced a new line of heatsinks called the DuOrb Series; this time using a two “orb” design. Today we are going to take a look at the DuOrb CPU heatsink Model number CL-P0464. We will find out how easy it is to install, how it performs and if it is a good value for your gaming dollar. Please click to read more. Read more…
Thermaltake BlacX
The ability to hot swap hard drives has been around for a long time in the business market. You don’t see it as often in the home or even enthusiast market. Thermaltake came out with their BlacX recently, giving people the ability to hot swap hard drives into a small box on your desk. This gives you the ability to use hard drives the same way that tape drives and zip drives have done in the past. With 750 gig hard drives breaking under the hundred dollar mark you can backup and swap hard drives freely without worrying about running out of space. We are going to take a closer look at the USB2.0 model number N0028USU. We are going to see how it performs compared to other hard drive enclosures that we have looked at to date, along with how a product like this can change the way people backup and transfer files.
