Join us as we take a look at the Tempest-Evo, NZXT's latest revision of the award winning case. The Tempest EVO packs a lot of features but find out why we think its might not be the best bang for your buck.
NZXT Tempest EVO Computer Case/Chassis @ TechwareLabsIt has been just over a year since we've had the opportunity to review a Zalman cooler, so you can imagine our excitement when Zalman shipped us one of their latest products; the CNPS10X Performa heatpipe cooler. Like all of its brethren in the CNPS10X series, the Performa sports a copper base, multiple heatpipes, a ton of aluminum fins, and a very quiet 120mm fan.
Zalman CNPS10X Performa Heatpipe CPU Cooler Review @ Bigbruin.comNyko Technologies, the leading videogame peripherals manufacturer, today announced the shipment of its Intercooler Slim™ for PlayStation® 3 Slim (PS3 Slim) to major North American retailers. Designed for use with the PS3 Slim, the latest edition to Nyko's popular Intercooler line of game console cooling devices offers both convenience and functionality.
The Intercooler Slim boasts three powerful fans reducing the ambient air temperature by moving hot air away from the console. For customized cooling, a high/low fan switch enables you to choose how much air flow is needed. The Intercooler Slim is easily snapped onto the back of the console requiring no tools or other modifications, and with its patented power pass through connection, this cooling device requires no AC adapter. The Intercooler Slim can be used with the PS3 Slim in both vertical and horizontal positions and automatically turns on and off with the console.
“The Intercooler line has been one of the most successful accessories for this generation of consoles,” said Chris Arbogast, director of marketing at Nyko Technologies. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue the line on the new PS3 Slim with the features that made previous iterations so successful.”
The InterCooler Slim is available now at major North American retailers for an MSRP of $19.99. Connect with Nyko for your chance to win exciting Nyko prizes on Twitter or on Facebook.
USB 3.0 has slowly been gaining market share over the last months. Vantec is one of the first companies to offer a USB 3.0 compatible external 3.5" enclosure. We take the NexStar 3 for a spin to see if the USB 3 promise holds up to the test.

"Overall, I am satisfied with this keyboard. It does exactly what it is meant to do, which is to provide a comfortable alternative to the cramped style of a laptop or netbook keyboard."
Network storage has become the convenient answer to centralized data for corporate enterprise environments. The QNAP TS-459 Pro NAS server uses the energy-efficient 1.66GHz Intel Atom D512 processor with 1GB of DDR2 system memory to enable VMware Ready iSCSI for virtualization deployments. Dual Gigabit Ethernet network interfaces allow failover safety, while four SATA drives deliver basic-disk or RAID configurations. In this article, Benchmark Reviews tests performance of the QNAP TS-459 Pro against several other network attached storage servers.
QNAP TS-459 Pro NAS Server @ Benchmark ReviewsOver the past few months, it's become increasingly clear that OCZ has shifted its focus more towards its core products, and as a result, the company will no longer invest in things like cooling products, peripherals and so forth. Rather, it will focus on SSDs, memory and of course, power supplies. As I made my earlier post, I had wondered what OCZ's renewed focus would mean for Hypersonic-PC, and that was made clear to me earlier today.
OCZ Technology Shutters Hypersonic-PC @ Techgage.comTAIPEI, Taiwan – March 22, 2010 – GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Co., Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, graphics cards and other computing hardware solutions today proudly announced that they have reached an industry milestone of 1 million SuperSpeed USB (USB 3.0) motherboards shipped, making GIGABYTE the single most widely adopted SuperSpeed USB platform in the world.
Remember when Bluetooth came out? No one bothered to care for a long time until an explosion happened a few years ago. We believe that Wireless USB is in the same boat. The technology solves a problem that people need; the ability to connect peripherals to their computer without a wire. It is just that we are suffering on the implementation and faced without market saturation, the Wireless USB field seems to be stagnating. There are glimmers of hope and Imation brings the first Wireless USB enclosure to the table
Imation Pro WX 1.5TB Wireless USB Review @ ASE LabsRemember when we used to make and go to lan parties and how everyone wanted to have the best looking case out there? Yeah, I certainly do. We used to pimp out our cases to look like christmas trees no matter how much money the parts were. We wanted it all. The great cooling, the style, the coloring, the fans and of course the accessibility. Some of us couldn't afford any of it and some of us were lucky enough to have this all.
UMLan Article Release: Thermaltake Element V - ReviewThe performance was definitely good and when you compare it to a stock heatsink that allows the CPU to reach the boiling point of water it seems even better. I found it unbelievable that our Core i7 860 hit 99°C with the stock cooler and I'm glad to see the Silent 1156 shave off 27°C (50°F) from the stock temps. . .

Go Naked: Leave the laptop at home! @ TechwareLabsDespite what the folks in Cupertino may lead you to believe, the netbook form factor will continue to survive in the face of these new-fangled Internet tablets. The technology continues to advance in this realm, introducing us to higher-end finishes and improved horsepower. Just as the Intel Atom N280 provided some good performance upgrades over the N270, the “Pine Trail” Atom N450 is supposed to be pretty hot stuff too.

Making the decision to upgrade to an SSD isn't difficult, but finding the "perfect" SSD is a different story thanks to the sheer amount of choice out there; sometimes even from the same vendor! Fortunately, OCZ's Vertex Turbo delivers a great blend of performance and GB per dollar, making it well worth consideration.
OCZ Vertex Turbo 120GB SSD @ Techgage.com"The Nokia N97 mobile phone is a compact phone with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard and a huge 3.5" touch screen with tilt. I would mostly use this as a personal phone to get all my emails, surf the web, take pictures and videos and of course store them in the huge 32 GB storage space. So I tested it for about two weeks and these are my results."
Nokia N97 Mobile Phone Review @ BayReviews.comObjectivity speaking, Thermaltake has designed a good performing chassis at a great price point. Obviously, this chassis isn't for everyone, but for its intended market it is a great value. When you factor in the cost of additional fans, the price point will raise from under fifty dollars to somewhere around sixty five dollars for a properly equipped chassis. Still, the build quality and overall design are a testament to the value of this chassis. I'd happily recommend this case to anyone looking for a good looking case at a modest price point.
News - Thermaltake V3 Black Edition Review at Overclockers OnlineGigabyte announced their new 333 lineup end of November 2009. At the 333 Event Show, however there was no word on the AMD CPU supporting motherboards. Focus was mainly on P55 and X58 series. Getting a speedy introduction to the wonders and miracles of AMD overclocking via HWBOT Country Cup I was eager to review one of Gigabyte's latest high end offering, the 790FXTA-UD5. The A in the name reflects it is a souped up 333 version of the previous model 790FXT-UD5.
