Rockville, Maryland - April 23, 2015 - ErgoDox EZ surpasses its Indiegogo goal and now is ready to reveal its stretch goal that will transform the esteemed ergonomic mechanical keyboard once the campaign raises a total of $70,000.

Ergonomic as it is, the open-source ErgoDox mechanical keyboard still lies flat on surfaces. ErgoDox EZ announces a stretch goal to provide a durable solution that uplifts the ErgoDox and allows users to easily select the typing angle that works best for them. ErgoDox EZ introduces its one-of-a-kind adjustable angle kit as a $20 addition for the fully assembled keyboard. This kit adjusts the keyboard along two axis, both tilting and tenting.

The kit includes six adjustable legs made of complex aluminium alloy, with knurled thumb screws. The legs insert into the base of the keyboard at six strategically placed locations to allow a wide variety of typing angles. The insert area of the keyboard is made of metal and has teeth that mesh with the leg to ensure a secure attachment. When the user is completely satisfied with their adjustments and positioning of the keyboard, the metal thumb screws can be fastened, locking the legs in position so they can withstand serious pressure. For added stability on the desk, each leg is equipped with a rubber foot.

"We've iterated through several designs and have done a lot of research to come up with the perfect tilt/tent kit for the ErgoDox. We're excited about our stretch goal and we know the community will feel the same," said Erez Zukerman, Co-founder of the ErgoDox EZ project. "With this kit, we are not only making this keyboard available, but we are taking its physical design further than anyone else has done before. ErgoDox is all about customization and personalization, and the adjustable tilt/tent kit brings this to a new level."

ErgoDox is an open-source ergonomic, mechanical keyboard that is fully customizable to the user's needs. Until now, it has only been available as a DIY kit that requires hours of assembly. ErgoDox EZ surpassed its $50,000 Indiegogo goal to line up the manufacturing process and finally allow users to order the keyboard fully assembled as a complete, out of the box product.
