Eagletech Neptor Foldable Bluetooth Keyboard

Eagletech may be one of best kept secrets at our LAN parties, generously providing many of their Zen headsets under the brand name Orion as prizes. As we saw at CES this past January, Eagletech has a wide variety of portable accessories, the majority utilizing Bluetooth, in store for 2013. We’ve received the first of many teased during a private showing in Vegas this winter, the Neptor Foldable Bluetooth Keyboard, just in time for an editor hungry to take productivity on the road.

Cooler Master Notepal Ergostand II

Over the past 10 years there has quietly been a small change in the mobile computer market that I don’t think everything has noticed. The name laptop has slowly been dropped and everyone uses the term notebook now. This might seem like a small change but this was actually to help prevent issues for a lot of manufactures. You see, with the name laptop, a lot of people would actually use them on their laps sometimes causing overheating issues. Even now with the new name, heat is still a concern. That is exactly why we have products like Cooler Masters new Notepal Ergostand II.Today I am going to take a look and see what has changed from the original.

BlackBerry Z10

Blackberry has a special place in my heart; my first smartphone was the original BlackBerry Storm. The Storm was their first full touch screen phone and frankly it was also a very hard phone to love. Being my first smartphone I really wanted to love it, but dealing with lockups, limitations, battery pulls, and bad battery life was just life with the Storm. After experiencing Android I never went back to BlackBerry, until they introduced their Z10. For the first time it seemed like BlackBerry had listened, so I made sure to get one in and today finally I will tell you how it went.

Asus Z87 Gryphon and Armor Kit

After what feels like months of prepping, testing, photography, videos, and writing are finally reaching the end of our Haswell launch motherboard coverage and I think we may have saved the best for last. We haven’t covered one of Asus’s TUF Series of motherboards official although we do have one in our cooling test bench and we have seen countless boards in our reader’s rigs. So to finish things off we are going to take a look at Asus's new Micro ATX TUF Series Z87 Gryphon. Its smaller form factor is a first for the TUF line and I am very excited to see what the fuss has been about.

Quote "Today we are taking a look at the XFX Radeon HD5750 1GB graphics card. This card has lightning fast performance with a low power output, requiring only one 6 pin PCI-Express adapter. It also has the latest DirectX11 technology as well as supporting ATI Eyefinity among other features."

XFX Radeon HD5750 1GB Graphics Card Video Review @ eTeknix.com

We just finished our latest review. This time we took a closer look at Razer's Imperator Gaming Mouse. From the article: "Ever since the first appearance of gaming mice, Razer has without a doubt been one of the largest names. Ever since their first models they've been pumping out successful models one after another, and this time their newcomer - the Imperator - came to our tests."

“Before I attempted to install the sticky rubbery tape thingy, I mean the "heat absorbing material", I thought there really wasn't anything to this product. It was basically an aluminum slab with some plastic ends. However introduce the sticky pad thingy and we've got a whole new animal. The sticky pad was easy to apply to the unit, however then you need to peel off the top adhesive protector. That's where the problem starts. There was no way to remove it without messing it up. It just wanted to peel off the main unit. This is by far the worst product add-on that I have had the displeasure of working with. I honestly can't believe VIZO would attempt to pass this headache onto the customer. It shows their failure to design and engineer some grippy material into the unit itself. I tried to use the EZ-Surf without the sticky pad and it honestly shot right out from underneath my laptop letting it crash to the table. It's that slick (plastic and aluminum) without it. The angled and smooth edges don't help, they only hurt that problem.”

DSCN3456_LANOC_CESTritton is kicking off 2010 with some brand new usb to video devices such as the MWX 300. They've been in the usb to video market since 2003 with their own patented chipset. The new mini dock allows a netbook to expand into a full size workstation by just using a single usb port on the netbook or a laptop. Coupled with Microsoft's launch of Windows MultiPoint Server 2010, Tritton's devices allow a single PC with the OS loaded to have up to ten sessions form a single computer. Each session is a seperate Windows 7 experience with their own settings, files, partition on the hard drive, and work station. This kind of technology eliminates the need for multiple power hungry machines, increasing a company's overall energy efficiency easily, and cheaply; all that's needed is a single USB port per work station.

DSCN3452_LANOC_CESOn the gaming end of Tritton's product lineup, Tritton is featuring their high quality headsets. The AX 180 is a high performance stereo headset, which is fully compatible with PS3 and Xbox 360. It also features a detachable microphone and individual volume controls. The next in the line-up is the AX 720 at $129.99 which supports Dobly Digital and DTS creating the ultimate virtual surround sound experience. It has a break away cable that will eventually have an addon support to make the same headset wireless. The AX 720 also has interchangable high quality skins to personalize the headset to the user's tastes which will be available on their website for $19.99.

Lastly, Tritton is featuring the AX Pro for 2010. It features excellent sound quality with dedicated center, front, and rear channels, as well as a dedicated subwoofer. The volume control allows the user to adjust each of the 4 drivers seperately as well as time delay and dynamic range control. This enables the user to control every last detail of the listening experience. What makes Tritton stand out is that they try to think different, and engineer from the ground up. Their design philosophy is evident at every point in their product range. From the AX 180 to the AX Pro Tritton has an excellent line-up of high quality headsets for 2010. Add to that, they've begun selling through Best Buy retail stores and Tritton is in excellent position for the new year.

With the advent of Intel releasing the LGA 1156 socket ASUS has launched nothing short of 17 different socket 1156 motherboards based on the newer P55 chipset. We decided to take this time to look at one of the more elite socket 1156 motherboards from ASUS, the P7P55D featuring SATA III, SLI and Crossfire, a remote for overclocking and a 48 Hybrid Phase cooling design. All together the P7P55D looks to be a mighty board but does it have true substance or is it just another board for ASUS to add to the market?
