Gaming News PSA

On Friday at hight noon aka 12pm EST, I will be live streaming an exclusive Gaming News on Twitch.tv/Wingless92. I can’t say anything else at the moment per NDA but this is something that everyone will want to tune into. Again, 12pm EST on Twitch.tv/Wingless92, be there or be left out!

Microsoft Flight

This came out a couple of weeks ago but yesterday it was released on Steam. Why have your games spread all over the place when you can have them all neatly stored in Steam. I had this downloaded right when it came out but, after downloading the Steam version all of my progress transferred over without a hiccup, nice to see. The game is free-to-play for the core game but they do sell add-on packs that will extend the game further along with opening up more islands in Hawaii. Download it today for free on Steam and get flying.

Midweek Madness Sale 1

The entire X-Series is on sale this week for 50% off. I haven’t played these games nor heard anything about them but if you want to jump in, now would be a good time.

Midweek Madness Sale 2

If you haven’t played Blur yet, WTF is wrong with you? Think Mario Kart for the new generation. I’m not going to lie. I was in the beta for this game on Xbox and it was great. The sad thing is that Bizarre Creations was shut down not that long ago. If you’ve played Geometry Wars on Xbox these would be the same dev’s. Activision for some reason shut them down without warning which is a shame cause this game is a gem. Pick it up this until Thursday at 7pm EST for $5.

Star Wars Xbox Bundle / Star Wars Kinect

Usually, I don’t talk about consoles here cause we are a PC gaming community. Thought, I must admit, this is one sleek looking system. If you haven’t checked it out do so soon. Too bad that they make you pick up the shitty Star Wars Kinect game with the system. Reports have been flowing in and it’s not good. I’m not going to go into details but I would tread cautiously. Hopefully they will be selling the C3PO controllers in a wired version for us PC gamers that use them for racing and other games.

Left Field

Left Field

For anyone that hates the EA / Steam Battlefield 3 debacle, this gif will make you laugh

If yet you need another reason to buy an EVGA GPU their new warranty policy will make your decision even easier.

This is one of those mod’s that just makes you say “What in the sam hell are you thinking?”

So Rovio buys Futuremark Games Studios? Angry Birds on 3 screens? Yes please.

Instagram on Android? Yes please, thank you very much.

How did the internet miss this one?

Who’s in for Orc’s Must Die 2? Anyone? Anyone? We will see it this summer according to reports

Good read over on SemiAccurate about Onlive’s new desktop offering

More people leaving AMD. Bulldozer wasn’t that bad was it? Hopefully Godfrey Cheng finds something bigger and brighter soon.

Who else is playing Bulletstorm and loving it? Glad that I bought it for el’ cheapo but I am having fun with it.

That's it for this week. Glad that the warm weather has arrived. Can't wait to get the Mustang out for the summer, 5 days and counting. Thanks everyone. Make sure and join me on Friday at 12pm for our big reveal. Until next week,

Wingless is out!

Godfrey is a good friend of mine, although its a bummer to loose someone who went to bad for us multiple times at AMD, I can't wait to see what he does next. Watch out!!

Right, hopefully he gets something bigger and better.

Sad that AMD lost a bunch of people. Seems like they have been cleaning house and Godfrey was the last one to leave.

Wish him the best though.

My Econ teacher looked at people loosing their jobs in a really interesting light. He said "You can't think of them loosing their job, it's more their skills and abilities have been released to do something else." It's not a direct Quote, but it's pretty close to the concept

People always think that innovation is bad at workplaces that force workers out of a job, but just think about it from a world knowledge and energy standpoint. By eliminating one factor job, that person can now do something else, they do'nt have to waste their time pushing the button all day long, a robot can do that more quickly and effeciently otherwise that person would still have their job. Sometimes when a person looses their job, the take it as the sign to start their own business and do something they've always wanted to do, but were too scared to leave their "safe" job. Not all things that appear bad are bad. ;)

03 April 2024

Over the last few years, I have been slowly upgrading our network. Some of it was just to clean things up but I have also been addressing issues that I have run into here and there as well. Most of that has been running smoothly but it seems like on the rare situations where I go on vacation or on...

Wired or wireless which do you prefer? In a perfect world, I prefer the audio quality of a wired headset but the convenience of wireless is worth it. You don’t have your cord getting in the way and you can keep your headset on even when you get up from your PC. Not to mention cord damage is one of...

Last year Crucial impressed with their first PCIe Gen 5 SSD the Crucial T700. Its performance was extremely impressive even when compared to fast PCIe Gen 4 devices. Well here we are at it once again and Crucial is stepping things up again with their latest drive the T705. Like with the T700, the...

It’s kind of crazy to think but the last time I had a Razer desktop microphone in for review was back in 2015 when I took a look at the Razer Seiren Pro . That wasn’t Razer’s first desktop microphone but it was part of their first generation of Seiren microphones and Razer has continued to evolve...

AMD launched, well relaunched their RX 7900 GRE today and I already took a look at the Hellhound that AMD sent over but Sapphire did also send their PURE RX 7900 GRE. I was a huge fan of the PURE the last time so I’m excited to see if their latest version is going to live up to that hype. One...

AMD’s GPU lineup started off with the RX 7900 XT and RX 7900 XTX models on the high end and later they filled in things with the RX 7800 XT and cards below that. But the gap between the RX 7900 XT and RX 7800 XT is a large one, especially with Nvidia having competition there with cards like the...

With the launch of the RTX 4080 SUPER, I took a look at the Founders Edition to check out the performance of Nvidia’s new GPU. The Founders Edition cards however aren’t available from some retailers and you might find yourself looking at other options. Lucky for us Asus sent over their ROG Strix...

With Nvidia’s CES announcements, they announced three different GPUs all with the previously used SUPER designation. I took a look at the RTX 4070 SUPER as well as the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER but the crown jewel in all of this was of course the RTX 4080 SUPER. The RTX 4090 is still the flagship GPU from...

Last year when I took a look at the Sapphire Pulse RX 7600 I was impressed with Sapphire’s design which while not as small as the reference AMD design was still compact where most other aftermarket cards weren’t. That seems to be the same this time around with the launch of the RX 7600 XT and...

It’s been a surprisingly busy 2024 with a list of different GPU launches that were all announced at CES. AMD didn’t just announce the RX 7600 XT at CES however, they also introduced a new line of CPUs their Ryzen 8000G Series, and a few new SKUs in the older Ryzen 5000 Series as well for AM4...
