About Us

LanOC Reviews is a website specifically for gaming, gaming hardware and LanPartys. We started by hosting lan partys and moved into reviews in March of 2008. We are fairly new to the review scene, but are able to give an opinion from a gamers point of view because we are gamers! All of our reviewers have been well versed in their specific areas of interest due to an unnatural need to play video games and tweak hardware. We want to help you find the best performing products along with the best games to soak up all of your time. We are a group of down to earth geeks who spend all of our time tweaking our PCs and playing  console and PC games. We also host our LAN parties in the Northwest Ohio area four or more times a year. You can learn more about us by visiting our forums where you are welcome to ask questions and chat up new and old games and hardware.

BIO: You might call him obsessed or just a hardcore geek. His obsession with gaming hardware and gadgets isn't anything new, he could be found taking things apart even as a child. When not poking around in PC's he can be found playing Dota 2, Awesomenauts, or Civilization 5 or watching a wide variety of TV shows and Movies. BIO: Jared is the newest addition to our event staff. He will be in charge of tournaments both before, during, and after our events. That means those of you who come out for our lans will spend lots of time with him. He is a friendly guy and as far as we can tell he doesn't bite. Outside of our events he enjoys his fair share of games like the rest of us and can be found tweeking and modding his Antec Skeleton case. 

Our Awards

Editor's Choice products are picked at the end of the year, and the flaws found during the review are not always relevant. Something that may have been too pricey or had some flaws, may be eligible for this award at the end of the year. They may not be the best of the best, but something that our editor feels would be a great buy.

The top honors award are reserved for the best of the best in a particular category. These products may have a few minor flaws, but overall they are going to be the best that there is to offer in a particular market at a particular price point. You won't get to see too many of these.

A reccomended product is anything that we think you should pick up. Often times it will have flaws, but usually the price point or particular features will overcome the flaws and make the product worth buying.
